INTO Hofstra – Youth Voices Matter Celebration

At a recent celebration hosted by INTO Hofstra, international students showcased their creative projects on the theme of “Youth Voices Matter.” The event highlighted the diverse talents of students, with presentations and videos covering topics such as teamwork, climate change, and education in developing countries.

Following the presentations, attendees voted for the top three projects. The winners, who received Amazon gift cards, were:

  • First Place: Julaiti Sadakati (China), for her video and artwork titled The Responsibilities of the Strong for the Weak.
  • Second Place: Marisol Hernandez (Panama), for her video on her experiences as a kindergarten teacher in Panama, titled Poverty and Education.
  • Third Place: Fatima Alsheikh and Salem Kayed (Kuwait), for their PowerPoint presentation on teamwork.

INTO Hofstra was established in 2019 to provide international students with English language training, as well as academic and cultural support, to help them succeed in the United States.
