Spring 2023 / INTO Hofstra Event
Students in the INTO Hofstra program recently shared creative projects celebrating their experiences and cultures from around the world at a semester-end event. INTO Hofstra, established in 2019 under the leadership of Program Manager Dr. Hanaa Wahba, helps international students succeed by offering English language study and other academic and cultural resources.
According to Dr. Wahba, these projects help students build essential research and English-language skills. This semester, under the theme “Who are the Winners?”, students created posters, presentations, and videos. Four projects were recognized and awarded Amazon gift cards.
Here are the winning projects:
- 1st Place: “Dr. Hanaa Wahba’s Class Recipe for Success” by Kahled Alenezi, Ayoub Alansari, Mohammad Aljadi, Mohammad Alajmi, Naser Alotaibi, Ebrahem Alahmad, Maxim Alekseev, Chuan He, Dongsheng Li, and Liuke Sun (from Kuwait, Russia, and China)
- 2nd Place: “Historic Places in Kuwait” by Khaled Alshaalan and Eid Alwaalan (from Kuwait)
- 3rd Place: “How Much Has My English Improved Since I Started at INTO Hofstra?” by Wenjing Yu (from China)
- 4th Place: “Peking Opera” by Yi Xie (from China)
